FAQ’s
What are French doors?
French doors are doors of light construction that have glass panes for most of their length. They are usually fitted as a pair of doors instead of a single door.
Why are French doors so popular?
French doors are popular as the extended glass panes allow for natural light to flood into your living space. Because of the glass, they also add continuity from one living space to another. This continuity gives the illusion of a living space being larger than it actually may be.
What is the difference between French doors and bifold doors?
The main difference between French doors and bifold doors is how each door opens. Bifold doors slide, fold back flat, and completely open up whole walls. On the other hand, French doors usually consist of two glass-panelled doors that open inwards or outwards. French doors also tend to be more decorative while bifold doors are more contemporary.
What is the difference between French doors and patio doors?
The main difference between patio doors and French doors is how they open. Patio doors open by sliding along a track to one side instead of swinging inwards or outwards. On the other hand, French doors are typically installed as a pair. They feature a central frame with glass panels and open inwards or outwards.
Patio doors may be an ideal option for those who are hoping to achieve a simple, clean, or contemporary space. On the other hand, French doors are more decorative. Because of this, they are ideal for those who have traditional and classic homes.
How much are French doors?
It is challenging to say the exact pricing of your French door. There are a lot of variables that affect the price of French doors. To give you a quote, we will need information such as the size, the style, your approximate location in Suffolk, Essex, or the surrounding area, and any additional information. For a quote, contact us on 01473 944914 or use our online quoting system for more details.
